Aunt Jeanine's
When they wake up early she usually takes them to see the planes taking off and landing at the LA airport. Last week Daniel informed me that we have to make sure to have Christmas at Aunt Jeanine & Uncle Kevin's house this year. It was so cute.
Bath time!
Kidspace Children's Museum
We visited Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena a few weeks ago and the boys absolutely loved it. We spent most of our time at the tricycle track in the back and in the waterfall/river where the kids can play in the water. It was a great day.
This week we went again but it was raining so we spent most of our time inside. There are climbing towers, a life size ant hole, and much more. I left the boys with my sister Diana for a few minutes to change Wesley and this is what I came back to. His name is Matty. A Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. The boys were petting him, but I just couldn't make myself do it!
I highly recommend this museum, but it is very pricey. If you can get a membership at one of the reciprocal museums to get into this one on the membership.

Back to the Future
Johnny loves to quote movies. Sometimes our conversation are nothing more than movie lines. Tonight Johnny told Daniel "No Biff" to answer one of his questions. Of course I said "I hate manure." Johnny gave me a half smile and went on with scripture reading. Jaxon and Daniel then spent the next 90+ minutes calling each other Biff and giggling. Driving Johnny crazy of course (poor guy was so tired). I could not help but laugh every time I heard them giggle and whisper "No Biff" from their bunk beds. Johnny eventually ended the hilarity, but I hope my boys remember how they felt laughing with each other tonight. There is nothing sweeter than hearing them laugh over nothing important whatsoever.

Bodily Fluids
Jaxon has been having "issues" recently. He is potty trained, but for some reason the last few days it has been all down hill. He peed in his pants six time in two days, two of them not just pee. Yuck! Ugh! One of those was at the zoo. Try cleaning that up in the LA Zoo bathroom. Luckily I had extra shorts. Once was at preschool and once was on top of Daniel's bunk bed! By the end of yesterday I was beyond frustrated. He had not had an accident in weeks and then this. I told Johnny yesterday afternoon that between Jaxon's accidents and Wesley's diapers I was completely done with bodily fluids.
The Lord has a sense of humor. I should never have let that statement escape my lips. Last night Jaxon was warm. I kept telling Johnny I thought he might be getting a fever. He was throwing up from 10pm-6am. Today he still had a fever but at least the retching stopped. He must have watched Peter Pan at least 5 times. I spent the time walking back and forth from our trailer to the laundry room burning through a large bag of quarters and hauling our many loads of laundry in the kid's wagon. Wesley thought it was an adventure.
Needless to say by this afternoon I was not in great spirits when we went to pick up Johnny from work. Daniel refused to take a nap which meant I couldn't either. The one thing I was looking forward to was picking up Wesley's one year pictures. Johnny was amazing and offered to stay in the car with the kids while I ran inside. Despite my great desire to shop I ran in and out only to return to a hysterical Daniel without a shirt. My first thought was that Jaxon puked in the car and Johnny had no option but to use Daniel's shirt to wipe it up (remember I had no sleep the night before, I know that was a crazy notion). Johnny later explained Daniel found a juice box in the car, Johnny told him it would be warm, but Daniel insisted on drinking the juice. One sip later Daniel screamed it was too warm (hello lack of nap) and squirted it all over Jaxon and the back of the car. Johnny took his shirt to clean it up. I arrived right before Daniel screamed at Johnny "give me back my shirt or I am going to squirt milk from my nipple in your ear."
I was so shocked I started laughing and couldn't stop. Apparently Daniel has made his own assumptions about how babies are fed. I have talked to him many times about nursing babies. Maybe he heard me talking about weaning Wesley last week. For him to come up with this threat totally boggled my mind. It was hysterical and really did make all my frustrations over bodily fluids disappear.

Modes of Transportation
I am spoiled. I know I married the greatest man ever (please excuse my bias). When we decided to go down to one car I of course told Johnny I had no problem waking our boys at 5:20am to drive him to work. Ugh! Really I was dreading it and jokingly suggested he needed to get a bicycle (note: not a motorcycle, this is still Johnny was are talking about and let's face it, he is accident prone!). Johnny didn't take my suggestion as a joke and immediately started looking into getting a bicycle. He borrowed my mom's wonderful Trek bike (her baby) for a few weeks (thanks again mom!). Once he got the route and timing down he never looked back. It is almost 9 miles one way. He still gets up just after 4am to have time for the 35-40 minute ride. Personally, if it were me I would be bitter. Bitter that we have a car and I could not use it to get to work to earn the money to pay for the car, insurance, gas, etc. Johnny is not like that at all, he really is my better half. He has fully embraced riding to work stating it gets him going in the morning and he enjoys the exercise. Plus he wants me to have the car in case of emergency and to take the boys to preschool.

That being said, I am now a little jealous. He has a new love. I don't like competition for his affection. I am not sure he has named "her" yet, but be assured it is a "her." She is his new EZip Electric bike.

It was about the same cost as the other bikes we were looking into buying and I do have to admit it is a big help on the hills. I have tried it out and was impressed. She is also helpful for after work when he has already ridden 9 miles to work in the morning, worked a full day sometimes up to 12 hours or more, and is riding home in the heat fully loaded with his big boots, jeans, and the mandatory long sleeve lineman shirt. I pick him up almost every day but once in a while there are conflicts and he rides all the way home. Such as last week when I was sick and taking a nap while the boys slept. He rode all the way home then let me sleep for a few hours while he manned the kids.
Oh goodness, just thinking of how wonderful he is makes me swoon! Plus, he did the dishes and folded our four loads of laundry last night when I was at the grocery store. I know the Lord loves me and blesses me. How else could I have been so lucky to get a man like this?
